Bathroom ceiling and walls done. The old yellow is still showing through on the walls in places, so I'm just going to do a second coat.
Also, I may have accidentally redecorated a couple of spiders. I tried not to, tried to move them, gave them fair warning, but...
Crazy-like-a-fox tip, by the way. If you're concerned about getting paint on you: Check how toxi the paint is. If it it's modern emulsion, which isn't corrosive or anything, and you're not visible from the street, paint nude.
No, seriously. Modern emulsions come off (before they're dried/cured) with warm water. So, get splashed as much as you like (wear glasses/goggles to protect your eyes though, and I recommend a shower cap over hair) and step in the shower after - the shower will take that shit off your skin more quickly, easily and energy-efficiently than your washing machine will take it out of your clothes.
If you're especially sensitive to even the emulsion paint, or using gloss/varnish/woodstain etc, then wear totally ruined clothes that need to be binned anyway.
