House day 4 - carpet destruction engaged

And the stair carpet is gone... Apparently Lesley is most relaxed by the sound of manky carpet being ripped out.

And there's a lovely echo to the stairwell now.

However, there are little spiky strips at the rear of the treads and base of the risers, for keeping the new-ejected undermats attached, so I'm going to and see if I can get those off tonight before the light goes.
