Back from Worldcon

Have returned from Worldcon - Loncon 3 - visiting which has been, hands down, the worst convention-going experience I have ever had. And I was at Warp One in 1993, where 700 of us got food poisoning.
I should add, however, that this is not down to the committee or the folks fighting an uphill battle to make the con work, but to a mixture of totally external factors (cancelled trains, injury, equipment damage, etc) and the running of the Excel centre itself. A proper rant will be forthcoming, covering such subjects as food hygiene (and why my burger shouldn't be pink inside), sourcing the right suppliers, and why Excel security staff shouldn't be throwing vulnerable people with priority mobility/access badges out (and using the phrase "throwing you out") of panels because they think the room is too full
