lonemagpie: if only (by me)
Mostly very good, I'm glad to say!

This guy gives a bit of a mixed review, apparently thinking the historical/military bit detracts from being a lighter bit of narrative fun (one of the Amazon reviews also feels that way, but it seems to be very much the minority view!)

This review is glowing

And of the four here on Amazon, one is mixed (three stars), one good (four stars, from a surprising source), and two five-stars!

lonemagpie: Bogie! (bogie)
Watching North By Northwest, and far from the first time… Martin Landau is totally stealing it as usual, and props to Mr Waverly getting shit done.

Easily Hitchcock’s best, and one of Cary Grant’s best - he gets some great lines…

Lesley apparently hasn't seen it before, and is suitably impressed, mostly by how ahead of her time Eva Marie Saint seems to be on the train.
