So, more painting - the hall's had its two coats, the lower part of the stairwell has been done but will need a second coat, and three walls of the kitchen have been given a first coat, but will need a second. (The fourth kitchen wall will be a different colour)
I've also laid the first of two new small areas of carpet, in the hall at the foot of the stairs. This will be one of only two areas getting new actual carpet rather than vinyl - the other will be the landing at the top of the stairs, simply because I don't want potentially slippery surfaces that could send either of us face-first down the stairs. (The part of the hall immediately behind the front door, where coats get hung, is to be vinyl)
I've also chucked out more old kitchen flooring as part of doing that room - so the lino is there now, but I don't like the colour or pattern so I will be replacing that.
