lonemagpie: McGoohan as Number 6 (6)
Well, the BBC seem to be jumping on the "the child-murdering Philpotts were psycho murderers because they belonged to a social subculture I think is a bit weird" bandwagon, in this case polyamory. Which the BBC writer appears to get totally wrong, as does their rent-a-quote scientist, and as did the Philpotts. Go read The Ethical Slut or, hell looking on Wikipedia would have given them better results... Luckily there's a better balanced article setting things right here- http://www.rarelywearslipstick.com/2013/04/feminism-friday-media-research-and-poly/ (which also includes a link to the original Hate Mail style tabloid journalism at the BBC's Berkshire website. Berks, says it all...

No, the Philpotts didn't kill their kids as a product of being poly, or being on benefits, they did it because they were murderous psychos, really...

Hm, I see the Aintree weekend has managed to kill two horses already, and slaughter of the Grand National still isn't until this afternoon.... (would you be surprised to hear I think it should be at least reformed a lot, if not ended?) I'm just surprised it's not sponsored by Tesco, Aldi and Iceland this year...
lonemagpie: are you afraid of your people yet? (v)
I mean, the completely fucking brain-damaged attitude he's displaying towards basic arithmetic and economics suggests he probably *is* seriously mentally disabled...

(Actually you can see in the pictures that it's his security guy/driver who's actually parked there, but that just means they're doing as bad a job as he is, by drawing attention to themselves and their charge)
lonemagpie: Bogie! (bogie)
The Madness of Mickey Hamilton is *so* the best Professionals episode - it's a somewhat different twist on the format's plot, and the antagonist is given such depth and is uniquely sympathetic for this series.
lonemagpie: like it says (fuck it)
DW was fab. Triggered again though, fuck it.
