He is The Law

Saw "Dredd" last night - hm, not bad. They got the tone right, Urban was bang-on as Dredd, Thirlby was great as Anderson (loved the way they showed how you don't fuck with the Psis), and Lena Headey was a good villain. (Is it wrong of me that I sympathised with her, almost shed a tear when she got knocked off in such a witty manner? I'd have had her say "thank you" when Dredd asked for her plea, though.)
On the downside, I don't like the uniforms (except the helmets), and everything was too... not even modern day but actually a few years ago... If they could somehow paste these actors into the backdrop of MC1 as seen in the 90s movie (which is still a guilty pleasure) it'd be perfect. But, yeah, Urban *is* Dredd!
Oh, the music was crap as well.
Overall... 7.5/10?
